Things You Need To Know For Qingling Isuzu Trucks With SCR

Jun 22, 2022

SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction ) is an advanced technology for diesel engine exhaust treatment. It injects a liquid-reductant agent (AdBlue) through a particular catalyst into the exhaust upstream of a diesel engine to reduce the NOx emissions. There are a few things that you should know when your truck uses SCR.

1. Do not fill up the solution tank 100%; generally, only 85~90% is enough to prevent the crystalline expansion of the AdBlue solution from damaging the tank.

2. It will cause damage to the SCR system if the AdBlue level is lower than the minimum mark; a sufficient amount of solution is required to cool down the nozzle in the process.

3. After the engine stops, the injection system still needs to work extra to drain up the liquid left in the pipeline to prevent the crystalline blockage, so turn off the ignition switch for at least 1 minute before disconnecting the main battery switch to prolong the nozzle life.

In addition, the emission standard Euro V vehicles require a better fuel quality. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the fuel filter in time according to the actual use condition based on various fuel qualities in different countries.
