Qingling Motors (Group) Co., Ltd. is a key backbone enterprise in the automobile industry in China. Its predecessor was Chongqing Automobile Manufacturer. In 1985, Chongqing's first Sino-foreign joint venture - Qingling Motors Co., Ltd. was established with Isuzu Japan. In 1994, it became the first company in China's auto industry to go listed overseas. In 1997, it issued convertible bonds overseas. In 2005, Isuzu increased the capital and shares of Qingling Motors Co., Ltd. to implement joint operations.
Qingling Motors Group has now been composed of Qingling Motors Co., Ltd., 15 sino-foreign joint ventures, 4 state-owned wholly-owned enterprises, 1 mixed ownership enterprise, and a total of 21 subsidiaries. It mainly produces Isuzu's full range of light, medium, heavy and pickup commercial vehicles with international advanced technology and quality, and 7 series of diesel and gasoline engines with power from 100-520 horsepower, as well as Qingling's own brand traditional fuel and new energy commercial vehicles.
