Model: NKR
ODO: 52000km
Problem: Engine revolution speed increasing abnormally, making a loud unusual sound and emitting black/blueish smoke through the exhaust pipe.
● It causes severe damage to the vehicle parts, potentially endangering the lives onboard.
● Speed regulation features might be altered or lost due to the injection pump and governor failure, triggered initially by oversupplied fuel in the combustion chamber.
● The process of repairing and assembling will risk cracking the injection pump and tweaking the plunger sleeve by accident; followed by the gap of the plunger invaded by impurities, the plunger rotates badly or gets stuck in the maximum supply position.
● If the adjusting arm or the ball joint is not in the groove of the adjusting fork, it might cause oversupply.
● The lubricating oil in the governor is too much, too sticky or too filthy, resulting in the governor being outbalanced and out of control.
● The oil level is too high, causing excessive oil flooding into the cylinder.
● The piston ring wears off and has a wide gap between cylinder walls.
● The solenoid valve of the starting device is leaking oil.
● Leave the pedal alone.
● Quickly pull the rod back to the neutral position.
● Pull the valve control handle to the decompression position.
● Smother the cylinder by turning off the switch or blocking the air filter inlet with a cloth, and close the fuel tank switch, cut off the air and oil circuits.
● Shift to high gear, hit the brake pedal to the floor simultaneously, and slowly lift the clutch pedal to force the engine shutdown.
● The stuck pedal rod might be the problem if the pedal bounces back without the engine continuously increasing the speed.
● The governor might be the problem if the pedal bounces back without the engine speed descending or shutting off.
● The Injection pump might be the problem if the pedal bounces back with the engine speed getting higher.
● Extra fuel enters the cylinder if the fuel supply system is well.
To keep a similar situation from occurring, do as follows:
(1) The injection pump and governor should not be disassembled and adjusted at will;
(2) Use high-quality lubricating oil, and the quantity should not exceed the limit;
(3) Keep the fuel clean;
(4) Clean the air filter accordingly, wash or replace the coarse and fine filters on time;
(5) Inspect and maintain the engine regularly, repair and replace the bad-condition parts in time.
